Northamptonshire village cottage garden
The design for this garden was quite challenging as the budget was modest, and the plot was very narrow, yet very long and also sloping.
I’m very pleased with the results I might say! I went against the automatic route of incorporating curves and blurring the boundaries with lots of planting as the client wanted clean lines and low maintenance, so I broke up the long expanse by creating lots of changes in direction and creating a journey from side to side rather than directly down the garden. I also created opportunities for pausing points with changes in materials and space to sit, along with dividing log wall barriers, one of which included a bespoke designed steel ‘clock’ as the cottage is called ‘Clockmakers Cottage’ Thank you to @bespokelandscapingco for the amazing landscaping work!
