New build detached house – Waltham
From the onset, I was determined to give this lady the garden of her dreams. A single mum, with a new house and a blank canvas of a rear garden, which was dark, depressing and boring. My client is a special needs teacher, the budget was tighter than tight, but she badly needed her special place to unwind and relax. I was determined to make it happen. And, it did.
To achieve the desired garden within budget required careful planning, I needed to work with the existing lawn, so the seasonal timing was crucial, I also chose slabs that were easy to lay and worked within a set pack size of slabs, which required no cutting.
Plant choice was also crucial as I was working in a period where sourcing plants was problematic due to Brexit complications teamed with the Coronavirus pandemic(not a good combination!) together with it being quite early in the year.
We did it though.
