Melton Mowbray town house Garden
This garden renovation was completed on a very tight budget and we managed to maintain the existing lawn throughout the work. The garden makeover was designed to compliment a newly built garden office and to turn the plain existing space into something magical and full of interest.
The lawn was shaped into two ovals and where they intersected, we have made a feature bed edged with Lavender, with the height interest of a metal archway leading you through via stepping stones. These stepping stones are echoed in the path that winds around the lawns by the side of the abundance of perennial planting in the borders and leads to both a raised seating area and vegetable bed and also to a shed and concrete base for a bike store, both of which will be screened off with contemporary slatted panels, which can’t be put in place at this stage as the neighbour is replacing the fence!
The garden isn’t massive, but by dividing it up into several areas, and not having a direct straight path, it appears so much larger and full of interest. We even made a bespoke brick built BBQ in a space where we removed some useless steps!
