Melton Mowbray town garden
The design for this garden was carefully designed around a tight budget. This meant I had to work with the existing curved wall. This in itself was not a problem as the wall was sound and solid, it was just very dated in appearance. We cladded it with contemporary slate and added a double row of bright coping stones with an infil of evergreen grasses and stone effect globe lights (more images to follow showing them lit up)
The new wall was complimented by ‘statement’ curved bullnosed steps leading to a new elevated patio, which fulfilled the brief of having more patio space which felt more like part of the garden.
A gravel path leads to a stunning water feature, which has a back drop of composite screens, backed with bright led lit orange perspex, which perfectly compliments the clients own collection of self made steel coloured structures. He is colour blind, so certain bright colours stand out much more than muted colours, which also made the choice of plants very important… lots of highly contrasting green leaves with very colourful flowers, which will look stunning when established in summer.
